The Spiritualist Glasgow
Tucked away in the stylish heart of Merchant City, The Spiritualist Glasgow at 62 Miller Street is far from your average bar and restaurant. This gem of a venue seamlessly blends a refined cocktail culture with modern European dining, all within a sleek, ambient setting that feels part speakeasy, part cosmopolitan hotspot. Whether you’re in the mood for a crafted cocktail, a leisurely brunch, or a relaxed evening meal, The Spiritualist caters to it all-and it does so with undeniable flair.
Let’s talk about the vibe first. From the moment you step through the wheelchair-accessible entrance, there’s a sense of elegance without the stuffiness. Think soft lighting, a mix of velvet and leather textures, marble-topped tables, and the kind of mood-setting playlist that makes you want to linger. It’s the kind of place you could just as easily take a date as you could your best friend for cocktails, or even a solo lunch with a book and a Bellini.
Now, about the drinks-The Spiritualist Glasgow cocktail menu is nothing short of a curated experience. You’re not just ordering a drink, you're stepping into a story. A few of their standout creations include the Tequila Mockingbird (yes, the name alone is worth ordering), the Rhubarbara Streisand-a rhubarb-infused delight that balances tart and sweet like a pro-and the Royal Rob, a signature cocktail that oozes decadence. For something with tropical flair, the Golden Pineapple or Tiki Fire bring the beach to Glasgow with every sip.
Of course, classics aren’t overlooked. You’ll find beautifully executed versions of the Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, and Bellini, served with precision and plenty of style. And if you lean more into the wine or beer side of things, there’s a well-curated wine list, featuring both local and international selections, as well as a notable beer selection that caters to craft lovers and traditionalists alike.
Brunch? Dinner? Drinks at the bar? The food menu here makes each option worth exploring. Whether it’s the comfort of Fish and Chips or the elegance of a Beef Fillet Tataki, there’s a balance of bold flavors and elevated presentation. Those who love fusion bites will find joy in the Chicken Yakitori, while brunch enthusiasts can opt for flaky Croissants or the ever-popular Eggs Benedict paired with a zesty Italian Soda or a cheeky glass of Prosecco. Steak lovers aren’t left behind either-the Sirloin Steak here is grilled to perfection and full of juicy flavor.
Accessibility is also a clear priority here, which is refreshing to see. The wheelchair-accessible toilets, combined with a considerate layout and attentive service, make this venue a standout for inclusivity in Glasgow’s dining scene. Dine-in service is the norm, and while takeaway or delivery options aren’t the focus, that’s really part of the charm-The Spiritualist is designed to be experienced in person.
The attention to detail isn’t just in the drinks or dishes-it’s in the service, too. Staff are well-versed in the menu, ready with suggestions tailored to your taste, and never far when you’re ready for another round. Whether you're trying to decide between a Lychee Fizz or a Decadence Cocktail, or wondering which starter pairs best with your Prosecco, they're on it with confidence and personality.
Perfect for casual gatherings, date nights, or even a pre-theatre cocktail (yes, it’s just a short stroll from the City Halls and other local venues), The Spiritualist makes it easy to fall into its rhythm. If you're the kind of person who appreciates handcrafted cocktails, beautifully plated food, and a setting that makes you feel just a little more glamorous than usual, then this spot might just become your new favorite.
For those on the hunt for top-notch cocktail bars in Glasgow, or searching for an elevated dining experience in Merchant City, The Spiritualist is a name you’ll want to keep on your radar. It doesn’t just live up to the hype-it stirs, shakes, and serves it in a chilled coupe glass.

Visited for the boozy brunch option and this was my first time visiting I was impressed. Service was really good, Sarah couldn’t do enough for us. It was good value for money, cocktails were beautifully presented and delicious, especially nanas jam.
I had booked the boozy brunch at spiritualist as I had wanted to go try it for a while. Pride in Glasgow proved to be the perfect opportunity. The brunch dishes available offers good mix and allowing those in party to go off the al carte menu as well is a nice touch. The drink options were decent however to advertise 1 cocktail as part of the main menu that didn't also feature on the boozy brunch is a bit silly. The music was pride appropriate and the staff were all very friendly. Will definitely return.
--- Fantastic atmosphere – would definitely recommend! We didn’t have a reservation but were really pleased to get a table for 1.5 hours, especially given how busy it was on a Saturday. Although we didn’t eat this time, the dishes we saw coming out looked amazing – we’re already planning to come back just for the food! Huge shout-out to our server, who was incredibly bubbly, friendly, and attentive – the service was spot on and really added to the experience.
This cocktail bar never disappoints — always serving up consistently good (and seriously yummy) drinks. The menu has a great mix of classics and creative options, and everything I’ve tried has been spot on. What I love most is that even on busy Glasgow nights, it’s often the only place I can actually get a table without a long wait. It’s become my go-to spot when everywhere else is packed. Chill vibe, great cocktails, and reliable every time. Highly recommend!
Absolutely gorgeous cocktails, on the pricier side however you absolutely see the price reflected in the drinks, top quality. Fast and efficient service from all of the team, but particularly our server Aysha was a delight and made an already lovely evening that extra bit special. Staff extremely accommodating to making cocktails not on their menu. Can’t wait to come back and try some food next time!!
